ENT Surgeons, as part of the healthcare sector, and as a tenant of Memorial Hospital, will need to implement a number of important policies and procedures in order to minimise the risk to our staff, doctors and patients.

  • All ENT Surgeons staff are fully vaccinated and will wear masks
  • Patients will be required to hand sanitise upon arrival and all adult patients / relatives are required to wear masks
  • Patients with mask exemptions to wait outside rooms until due to be seen. You are expected to wear a level 2 medical mask (to be supplied by the practice) while walking through waiting room if other persons present
  • Patients with active upper respiratory or other COVID-like symptoms will NOT be seen. If these symptoms become evident to staff / doctors, the patients will be asked to leave the practice and seek COVID testing
  • Patients must provide proof of vaccination upon arrival to the practice, in addition to standard QR check-in.
  • Non-vaccinated patients will require proof of a negative COVID PCR test within the last 72 hrs if they are to be seen in face-to-face consultation
  • Non-vaccinated patients who refuse this measure will be offered an initial tele-consult with the doctor
  • Adult patients are to enter the waiting and consulting rooms alone, unless sufficiently incapacitated that a carer is required
  • Children are to be seen with a single parent and no siblings (exceptions to be made for very young infants accompanying a parent)
